After purchasing your PBP3 license, the product may be activated by entering the activation key as prompted by the application, this process should be carried out whilst your host machine has access to the internet. Activation requires that the machine can contact the melabs activation service.
If the machine onto which you wish to install PBP3 is Isolated from the internet, such machines may be may be activated using an offline option. Though this requires access to the internet from a separate computer.
The off line activation process works like this:
- Enter the activation key on the unconnected machine and select the offline activation option.
- Record the url and hardware-id that is displayed and carry it to a connected computer.
- Browse to the url and enter the activation key and hardware id. A special key will be returned.
- Carry the special key back to the unconnected machine and finish the activation.
Note: The standard MicroCode bundled with PBP3 requires no activation.
Offline activation should only be used when absolutely necessary. It will restrict your ability to deactivate and move the software.
