Is there any way to shorten the required search length? For instance.. when I try to do a search for "pot" (The pot command) it spits back that my search word is too short... ?

The wildcard trick doesn't seem to work for all searches, try searching for RC5. No matter what combination i try i can't get a hit. And i KNOW there are many threads containing RC5.

Please make it possible to search for three letter words.

This will significantly increase the Search Database size as the way the search works it indexes every word used rather than scan the entire database sequentially. This means that every three letter word gets indexed, so you have to waste half a day of your life telling it not to index 'the' and 'vcc' and 'vdd' and 'and' and 'etc' etc etc and every other three letter word that's irrelevant. Ultimately it's Lester's decision as it's his Server that ends up getting clogged.

    Try Google.

    rc5 site:www.picbasic.co.uk/forum

    Or, even better: (use "")

    "rc5" site:www.picbasic.co.uk/forum

Ok, if all searchable words needs to be indexed manually, i certanly understand why it's not practical to include short searches. However i still feel that it makes the searchfunction alot less useful since most abbreviations are two or three letters long(or short). May i suggest that the database could include three letter words if they were written in CAPS, that would include most pic related abbreviations, but leave "and", "the" and similar words.

    Luciano.
The Google works better than i thought, thanks. However "rc5" or "RC5" doesn't work(i already tried it), and after Melanies explanation i understand why.

    Cheers
