Yes, correct but the use of quotes works also with single words.

    If you search:
    addi

Google returns 7,100,000 results and you will see also addicting in the results.

    If you search:
    "addi"

Goggle returns 6,720,000 results and you will not see addicting in the results.

    Luciano.

I thought you meant - do a search for "rc5" on www.picbasic.co.uk/forum, i guess i got confused by the fact that it turned up as a link. Next time i'll try to look at ALL the information in the post.

    Thanks.

In my original post I unselected the forum option "Automatically parse links in text".
After two minutes I edited the same post and "Automatically parse links in text" was back on.
In the new "Edit" form you have to press the button "Go advanced" in order the see the
option "Automatically parse links in text". I didn't know that.
    Sorry about that!

    Hi Luciano,

That's right it also works with single words and I never said it didn't.

In fact when you put a single word between quotes the search engine will treat it as a hole word and will not show results as part of a word as in your example addi as for addition or addicting.
Another interesting feature of the search engine is that if you search for 2 words and want that both are int the result you just have to put a + sign immediatly before the words.

    Regards

    Hans
