skimask, I use 18F8720's for my depth and temperature display unit and have had no problems running them above 4 Mhz. I run them at 24 Mhz. as they will not run at 40.

You can just rename the files and your '8720 program will run in an '8722.

The errata sheet doesn't say the '8720 fails under ALL conditions above 4Mhz. It just says 'under certain circumstances'. Apparently, I was able to fullfill those 'circumstances' in one of my projects and make it die at 10Mhz, but ran just fine at 4Mhz. Switched to the '8722, no problems.Originally Posted by Dave
