I've been a PBP user since 2003 (got mine at Rentron back when it was in Colorado). Bought the 2.43; on 2007 got me the new 2.50 (Bruce was kind enough to hold my order and included the new manual).
The point is this:
When you wanted to use PBP with MPLAB you had to do lots of things to configure it..... now PBP is supported by MPLAB (it has been for quite some time). Now Microchip direct sells you PBP.
If Microchip sells it, it should be good.
