uv set solder mask , how do i get a good result ?
I bought some uv set solder mask http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-10cc-UV-...-/371198380554
these are the instructions I received
Quote:
Features:
100% Brand New
High Quality
10ml UV green paint.
Features with quick curing.
Insulates printed circuit board against shorting and arcing.
This paint is used to protect PCB traces from corrosion, moisture. It is also used for repairing PCB after soldering, rework.
Specifications:
Color: Green
Syringe Length: Approx. 10 cm
Material: Paint
Capacity: 10ml / 10cc
Usage:
Apply paint on your PCB.
Spread it on the PCB with covering the transparent mask film.
Expose it under UV light ( or sun ) for a few minutes.
Wash away the extra paint by gasoline or oil base solvent.
the trouble is that the mask sticks to the solder mask overlay far better than it does to the pcb, I think I need some sort of uv transparent film between the overlay and the board .
does anybody know of something that works ?

Hi,
In this video it looks like he applies the paint and then uses a thin piece of plastic between the paint and the artwork.
I would like to try this also.

success
used a ziplok sandwich bag (its a rf12b/69cw breakout board)
the mask is for a slightly different layout , its only an experiment

Nice Job!
If you perfect the process, post your methods. It will be better than translating Chinglish.
