    Default Ethernet & ENC28J60

    Hey All

Is anyone familier with a component that can be used as the tx rx filter on the TPIN+/TPIN- and TPOUT+/TPOUT- pins of the ENC28J60, There is a diagram on page 9 of the data sheet.

Its a centre tapped pulse transformer of some form that I require, if anyone is familier with this and knows a part number and or supplier id realy appreciate the help.

    All the best

    Tony...

    Hi,

I think the easiest is to use an RJ-45 socket with "integrated magnetics" - that contains all of those components and 2x LED's so you only need the 49.9R resistors and a ferrite bead.

    See here:
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=290270492935

(for history sake when the above link doesn't work any more, the auction is for "Ethernet 10/100Base-TX RJ45 w LEDs & Magnetics Enc28j60" from the seller micro4you - the datasheet is here: http://www.micro4you.com/files/conne...RJ-0XX-PPT.pdf)

They also do a built ethernet module and the schematic is here - this shows how to use those jacks - everything in green is inside the jack:
