My Hobbies is PicBasic PRO
- Try the Internal Oscillator. If the PIC has one.
- Use another PIC project that you know is working with a crystal, and try the suspect crystal.
- Use another PIC project that you know is working with a crystal, and connect the OSC2 pin to the OSC1 pin of the suspect PIC.
- Use a 555 type oscillator to create a frequency to apply to the OSC1 pin of the suspect PIC.
- Use a 74HC04 to create an oscillator that you can test the suspect crystal with.
- Oh, and check your config lines for the proper Oscillator Configuration.
Might want to try that one first.
