Help converting DS1993 to DS2433+

Hey All

on proton forum for ibutton DS1993 and having checked out the datasheet i found it is very similar to the DS2433+ which i already have.

i have ordered a couple of DS1993 which i should get in the next week but in the main time i have a couple of DS2433+ and from the data sheet the memory maps are the same but when i run the program the value displayed for the eeprom memory does not change even when i change this ie changing B1 to $FF dont make a difference.
