    Smile RFID interfacing with pic

    Hello,

Did already someone here try to interface a pic with an RFID reader/chip?
In my lasergame system I would like to have a system that will allow a gun to recognize if the player is alive or not by reading a RFIDtag he will have in his palm with the RFID reader in the gun grip.
I found a lot of information using google but nothing very helpful.
    Any ideas?

I have used RFID using another processor, not PIC. But its relatively easy if you use a canned reader module like the one sold by Parallax. I believe there is code too on their site on how to use the reader in Basic

    Thanks,

I already heard about Parallax but it is not small enough, too expensive and it does not perform both read and write with the RFID tag.
I need to find a simpler, smaller and cheaper system... Or maybe try to find another wireless communication system.
Having an IR link would be fine if the IR path couldn't be blocked by objects.
