Problem is that the bulk of those readers on eBay are for OBD-II (similar to what I've built recently, but mine rocks and those suck)
He wants ALDL, which is, for all practical purposes, a GM standard and not a world wide standard. Therefore, the documentation for reading/writing thru the ALDLink is even worse than it is for OBD-II.
You're right though. The old school ALDL readers are out there... A guy just has to read in depth a bit...
