My Reasons to believe to conservation of energy:
* Experiments say it
* As we know, physics is a hierarchic science. As like in mathematics, we use basic things to build more complex tools that may still be used for more advanced applications. If basics are not valid, you cannot build high level tools. Conservation of energy is very basic law that carries much of physics. If such a fundamental element would be wrong, how could we develope high level valid theories? For example quantum mechanics works. Even in particle physics where particles annihilates facing anti-material, the law is fulfilled. For example: How could we build a skyscraper if such a fundamental thing as basis of the building is unstable?
* Why it wouldnt be valid?
* If conservation of energy would not be valid, energy would appear from nothing. It doesnt sound logical. Only asking "what if it is not true" doesnt make any difference.
I know my name. I am sure of it. Or am I? How can i be sure of it?
Well, i cant. Maybe im connected to a system like Matrix (in the Matrix movie) and computer makes me think im another person or maybe a bus ran over me and I am unconscious in hospital rigth now and I imagine to be this another person.
Sometimes something just must accept as truth, like that I am living in real world instead of the matrix kind of system or something another. I am accepting conservation of energy as truth.
Sorry the delay for replying. My computers monitor went broken and I ordered new. I should get it tuesday. Im at a universitys computer now and i believe i will check this forum next time when i get the new monitor.
