Isn't the DS1821K just a plain ol' standard DS1821 in a different package?
Looks like there's a half a dozen hits here on the forums for it (not to mention a fair number of hits in Google).

Alain,
You are a life savior!
Thanks a lot!
I’ll dig some more for the hardware schematic or for the hardware itself.
Skimask,
The DS1821K is a development kit for DS1821 family. The big advantage of the DS1821 family devices (at list for me) is the 3 pin package and especially the TO220 and the fact that once you set a TH, TL and a status bit it becomes a stand alone thermostat. It is true you have only one degree Celsius resolution but for my application is fine.
Regards,
Nick
Usually a K at the end of DSxxxx part numbers means a development kit

Why insist on using 32 Bits when you're not even able to deal with the first 8 ones ??? ehhhhhh ...

IF there is the word "Problem" in your question ...
certainly the answer is " RTFM " or " RTFDataSheet " !!!
