Also, what (dielectric) adhesive can be used to bond to a PCB? Does regular hot glue work?
you can use about everything but no need it. Usualy epoxy glue is used.

I am going to retrofit an existing circuit and enclosure to accommodate 12 IR sensors. Any suggestions as to how to retrofit cables into an enclosure?
