    When did it happened? After a Bootloader process, ICD, Serial communicator, Programmer launch?

    You could still manually shut down the NTVDM process in the TaskManager.

    I know i already had a problem like that, but it was long time ago... memory fade...

    EDIT: oh yeah i remember... it was when launching Picstart... in the ol' days, when i had PBP 2.40, MCSP could launch MPLAB 5.XX, then launch PicStart. The problem happened when closing MPLAB. It never prompted the error message, but i had to shut-down the NTVDM process, or i couldn't lauch Picstart again... that was years ago...
