Just noticed the post linking to my site. The project is alive and well, with many improvements for the coming year.
By the way, the version of the Triklits which I purchased a few years ago is based on a 10F200 (4 MHz clock, < 30 bytes of RAM, no interrupts) in each ball. I was able to successfully control my string using an 18F4550 and the communications protocol NW posted on their site.
The designer has some very elegant & efficient code running in those chips! Kudos for making it run so well.
