Principle is that :
PWM generates the ref voltage for the 317 Regulator ( Q1 acts like the variable resistor, here) , that Vref is measured by the ADC RA.0 PIN.
while that you multiplex the read voltage ( + Vref 317 ...) to the 4x7 segments.
... the twin lookup tables are ... a bit surprising !!!
