    Default getting started

I just got my melabs u2 programmer and made a simple program on a 16f883 to turn on and off an led on RB0. My problem is I don't know if I need to use a xtal or what other pins I should hook up besides the Vss (8 & 19) and Vdd (20). I am new to programing and working with PIC's.
Is there a website to help beginners with circuit layouts for the PIC16f883?

    thanks, rmow
