Default Re: 24 volts dv from 12 vdc

I have a data logging system at a remote site which runs from a 12 vdc deep cycle battery. A solar panel keep the battery nicely charged.

I need to add a 24 vdc supply to power a few 4-20 milliamp loop powered sensors.

Any suggestions for a quality supply that would take 12 vdc and turn it to 24 vdc?

I'm guessing I would need a few hundred milliamps for my three sensors.

I'm not looking to build anything, but an off the shelf device that won't break the bank.

    Thanks,
    Steve

I do not know of an off the shelf product, but it is easy to build with an LM2585.

    Hi Dave,

I managed to find a company that makes some nice units, pretty much fit the bill for my application.

    Cool.
Which model did you pick? I do not see one with 12 in and 24 out.

    Wink

I have not ordered a model yet, but had the same question concerning the 24 vdc output.

I'll be going with the CC-E series, here's a link to the data sheet.

See note #3 concerning the 24 vdc output

Looks promising. Be a good time to test customer support and give the manufacture a call.
Let us know how it goes, I bet many here will find this useful.
    Thanks.
