What's Pll? I've read that you use a 10 mhz crystal and you get 40mhz osc using pll, everywhere I look I see only "pll" but no meaning. Sorry if this has been asked thousands of times, wasn't able to find the right info.

I think it means Phased Locked Loop, whatever the heck that is.
I could never understand them.

The simplest analogy of phase locked loop -- if a group of people are marching in step, you could have some that are marching 'n times' faster and still be marching 'in step' - Left matches Left.![]()
