Default Anyone using a reliable wireless connection?

Looking for a simple wireless solution to connect upto 12 remote pics to a central "server" pic via a wireless connection. Environment is household with one pic being located outside for sending weather info to the "server." Interior pics will be controlling servos for opening and closing heating vents. Distances could be up to a couple hundred feet through walls etc.

    It's not a bug, it's a random feature.

If you are going through walls, the Radiotronix Wi.232 transceivers are great. They transmit at 900 MHz, with about 20 mW of RF at the antenna The connection is RS232 at any baud rate up to 115Kbaud. With a little bud of an antenna, I was getting 800 feet. The new FHSS versions are more powerful, but more expensive. I am using the 1/4 watt modules for a 2 mile link up a mountain with a solar powered weather station. I figger 10 miles LOS on these gems!

The Maxstream development kit is well worth the investment. With the software you can walk around and test all your locations for receive signal level. That way you can determine which module to buy, the best place for the master or if you need a repeater. There is lots of support on the internet for the series 1 modules. You will need an adapter for the 2mm connector, got mine off of eBay and 3.3 VDC.
