I'm using one of those cheap $4.00 (400 contacts) breadboards. So, my sensor is probably sitting only 1.5" away and directly across the regulator. I will remount the sensor at the bottom right corner of the breadboard (since my regulator is on the upper left corner) and see what happens. Will post results as soon as I can.
