    Default ICSP Help

    HI
    Attached is a schematic of the board I just built. I am having problems getting the ICSP to work. When I attempt to program the PIC18F876A, I get an error that the target device doesn't match the selected device. I checked the pinout on the board versus the schematic. It looks correct. Any suggestions?

    The programmer pins are on the top left of the schematic

    I don't think you have the MCLR connected correctly. Try wiring like the above and see what happens.
