    Question newbie

Hello, I'm trying to program the blink sequence of the pic 16f84 u controller.
The programmer appears to be working well but when I install the chip in the circuit board slot and turn it on, nothing happens. I'm curious to find out if I need a reset button or something like that to start the program. I get the idea that I don't becuase mclr is there. Any suggestions?=)

Make sure MCLR is tied to VCC
Make sure the crystal is well installed with the right capacitor values,
make sure there's power on the board deuh... sorry
make sure the supply line is 'round 5Volts and noise free (0.1uF +10uF installed close to the pic)
    Post your schematic
    post your code

    Steve

    It's not a bug, it's a random feature.
There's no problem, only learning opportunities.
