More pleases....How about more searching...say...Google perhaps...and less PLEASE!!!!

A N.I.B. (or O.E.M.) dsPIC can do DDS for a VFO and they have A/D AFAIK. But you won't be able to DIY code, at least not with PBP. You'll have to DIY some ASM with MPASM from M-C and you'll have to DIY a PLL for good F/B to keep control the L/O's I/F AFAIK.

As far as literature, try www.microchip.com. All sorts of great datasheets.
