Question Pro Compiler Problem - Cancelled

I'm working with a fairly straight forward program code for a 16f84 chip. As I approach the 760 words used point I noticed that instead of reporting " Success 760 words used" the compiler is reporting "cancelled". There are no other errors, and it does bring up the programmer. Then I can't get rid of the "cancelled" until I remove some code or go back to an earlier version of my code and continue. Other than the message I think everything is operating "normally". I'm using Pro version 2.40 but I am waiting, and waiting and ..........waiting for an upgrade to arrive. Anyone seen the Mailturtle, Mr."Slowski"?
