I dont want to spend too much cash on erasable PICs cause once i give away the projects the IC will never be erased again...

Flash chips arent expensive compared to the UV erasable ones and the modern flash chips have so many features.

If you use an OTP chip then if you have a bug in your code that surfaces later then you have to buy a new chip which will cost more than using a flash device in the first place.
