You know, I'd been meaning to bring this up myself.

I am using a Pickit2. But my knowledge / experience with MPLAB is very sketchy, at best. Every time I get tempted to learn using MPLAB as an IDE, but always find it very daunting. I know there's a page on the MeLabs page on how to go about it, but still..

What I want to understand is, if I do use the Pickit2 ICD under MPLAB, would the variables in my PBP code show up as well? Like they do in the MCSP ICD? Or would I see just the registers? And would I be able to singlestep thru' my basic program, like what MCSP allows?

Is there a page that talks about PBP-MPLAB-ICD combo? I've googled to find this, unsuceesfully.

All information on this topic would be highly appreciated!

    Regards,

    Anand

As far as I know, nope... but MPLAB user manual and PICKIT 2 lessons should give some hints?

One thing for sure, you need to use an older version of MPLAB for now. 8.15 is still recommended and available from Melabs Website.

    It's not a bug, it's a random feature.
There's no problem, only learning opportunities.
