    Default gps programming

    i am new to programming & i need help on a gps module.the only info i want from the module is speed in mph & kph.i want to read this on 3 seven segment leds.i was thinking of using the 16f877 pic.if there is something better i would like to know. if someone has a program or could help me with programming,i would appreciate it.thanks chuck

    Default Format

    If you look at the NMEA format, I believe that those figures are in there. Serial in the data into an array. Then just send those parts of the array to the lcd screen, or led segments.
