    Default 16f88 serial out

i have been reading the datasheet for the 16f88 and im a little confussed. it says that RB5 does AUSART asynchronous transmit, and RB2 does AUSART asynchronous recieve. is this actual RS232 levels, and does that mean that i can hook rs232 devices up to it without a max232??? if it is possible, how would i go about programming it....

    thanks

No, it is at TTL levels so you will need a MAX232 or similar.
