Hi all
I have been expermenting with diffrent lcd's and spending a lot for an lcd that would work with picbasic but could not get any one cheap,
at last I found this lcd and it works fine with picbasic lcd out command, as i wanted a lcd where i can directly connect it with the pic micro, like the example by bruce in http://www.rentron.com/PicBasic-LCD.htm (i've been a great fan of Bruce as I started and learnt all the basics of programming in picbasic from his site only it was very simple to understand.)
its a hitachi HD44780 controlled.
its great as i can now see the value of variables ,temp reading etc, i have also exprimented and used it with the computer's printer port to display news, computer status like hardisk info, speed etc, you can check http://lcdsmartie.sourceforge.net/ for detials.

I can sell the blue backlight for $16 (includes International shipping to any place in the world)
and the yellow backlight for $13 (includes International shipping to any place in the world)
