Default serial pass-the-buck (or at least the string)

Can I do a SERIN and a SEROUT on different pins in different modes (example: serin at 9600baud then serout at 2400baud), or will something go wonky?

Sure you can with SERIN, SEROUT, SERIN2, SEROUT2 but not with DEBUG.
