    You never specified a budget... just said you needed a programmer for a particular device. I don't know what kind of adaptor you seek, but elnec pretty much manufacture every possible adaptor for almost any programming device in existance.

    The problem with going 'cheap' is you end up wasting so much time that you might as well have bought something better to start with.

    The third design (for 18-pin PIC) will match your requirements exactly and be the simplest to construct. You will also be able to use it for similar 18-pin PIC devices like 16F84 and 16F628.
