Woohooo!!!

got it workin at last with a 6110 lcd

it was just the contrast setting in the code!

i had tried changing it ealier, but i changed the last number only

i now have it set at d1 and works great

it now reads

SHiftOUT Lcd_SDA , Lcd_CLK , MSBFIRST, [ $21,$d1,$20 ]

i hope this is some help to others as it was driving me nuts

i used a 16f877a in the end and also used 4.5v, so 3.3 is not required.
