I'm testing that right now; 1 program with aliases, 1 program with strcpy:
- TX 80 character (same TX program for both tests),
- RX 80 characters and display 80 characters (I fill up a 4x20 LCD with text),
- compare the time on Saleae.

My Creality Ender 3 S1 Plus is a giant paperweight that can't even be used as a boat anchor, cause I'd be fined for polluting our waterways with electronic devices.
