Calculating Sunrise and Sunset 2

Just a thought: from what I understand from Amgen's and Henrik's suggestions, is that the sunrise and sunset would be roughtly linearly calculable

black is my attempt at a straight line.... follows actual times fairly close enough to actual exact times. It is just adding and subtracting X minutes each day for 1/2 a year then switching the add-subtract.
