OK, so I found part of the problem.
I should have changed the old fusses to
@ __CONFIG _CONFIG1,_INTRC_OSC_NOCLKOUT & _MCLRE_ON & _LVP_OFF & _WDT_OFF
to use PB3 & MPASM. Now i'm getting "Overwriting address contents (2007)"
not sure about this yet.
