At this time, the system is NOT sending emails.

I don't know when I will be able to enable email sending again.

There are several issues related to email, not least of which is the issue of false positives on the spam registers.

We get thousands of false applications to join the forum, from bots and malicious entities that wish to abuse the system to bombard the forum with garbage spam posts and advertising. We filter these, - successfully - hence you don't see spam posts very often on the forum. Though, in the background, every fake registration attempt generates an confirmation email to the registrants email address. Many of these email addresses are gmail addresses and others are real addresses . Because they are fake registrations using invalid or addresses used without the owners permission. The forum gets marked as a source of spam.

If this goes unchecked, the forum will be banned, and marked as malicious.

there are other reasons, but at present, mail is not being processed.

There are solutions, but i'm short on time. I need to put some hours into configuring a new mail application, stronger filters and verification etc.

Actually, because of other abuse attempts the mail server is not only disabled, but actually completely removed from service at present. What does not exist cant be abused.

I will try to find time to look into this again next week.
