    hi WB6NSN
I didn't understand if you have done "something" using this old STV5730
for my antenna position, I do not remenber, it was for our TVA repeater, but now it is dead !
the house where the repeater was installed is down ...
I see this article .. inscrustation in French means OSD ..
    have a look http://f5mna.free.fr/Arduino.htm
    good luck

    Hi Francois!
Actually I have not done anything yet, still researching the options. In my previous post I just wanted you to know that I was also an "amateur radio" or "ham" radio operator also! The link you posted (Thank you) is for the MAX7456 which is a common white text only chip design and not a color text chip like the STV5730A. The STV5730A had, at one time, been considered "end of life" and the demand for the chip caused the manufacturer to start producing them again so they are not difficult to find anymore. I was hoping to find a PIC program for the STV5730 rather than having to "re-invent the wheel". Sorry about your repeater I miss my as well. If you find any programs for the STV5730 please let me know.

    Thanks, Ed
