    Default POWER USED BY 18F ver 18LF CHIPS

    HI guys ,

    i have application where power is really an issue on small batteries and i have used only the 18F version upto now , is there a real power saving when using the 18LF version of the chips ?

    application uses 3.3volts

    I don't think there is any power saving per se, LF devices allow a lower Vdd for a given speed.

    I can't quote chapter and verse, but in electrical specs in the data sheet, the tables apply to both LF and F.

    ok thanks , thats what i thought , the only power saving maybe no need for the internal regulator and its very small load

    And Ohms law will help you a bit with fixed loads.
