    Unhappy 12F683 and ICSP

    Hi all,
I am having a problem with the Melabs serial programmer and the 12F683.
When I go to program in circuit, I get the message akin to "Target device is different than selected device". I have used the programmer to program many different chips, and only get this message with the '683s. When I turn off the "Verify target device ID" on the programmer screen, the IC programs properly. What is up with this? Anyone else have this problem?
Also, the processor list on MCSP is out of order...Why?

    Thanks,
    Ron

    It's not a bug, it's a random feature.
There's no problem, only learning opportunities.

I upgraded the melabs serial programmer software, and that fixed the mismatch problem.
