    Question Trouble with P16PRO40

    Hi,

    My programmers seems temperamental.
    I am using PICALL.

More often than not I get errors when I try to program.

    Any assistance?

I had the same problem. I ended up switching to WinPic for programming. You may need to alter the text file for the programmer but it works like a dream after that.

I have had nothing but trouble with PICALL.

I ended up buying an ICSP from sparkfun.com for $9 and haven't used my other programmer since.

Same here - switched to WinPic and no more problems.

My Picall seemed to stop writing to the chips without any errors or warning. Tried looking for information on it, but eventually I moved on to the ME Labs serial programmer.... and love it!
