Hi all! As part of a project I am doing I have to implement an external programm memory for a PIC18xx.

What I cannot undersatnd is if this memory must have a parallel interface...I checked AN869 External memory techiniques and I only found parallel acess examples...Is this the case? Is There noway to implement it in serial?
