How about using a display WITH a touch-screen such as this VGA example replacement screen/digitizer for the Dell Axim X51V

that is a nice price on a display with a touch screen. I am looking for a vga display however. I suppose I could try to find a vga driver for an lcd though too.
VGA refers to the resolution, not the interface. That screen IS of VGA resolution - if you are after a display with the standard 15pin hi-d analogue VGA display driver built-in then you're pretty much limited to older 14-inch ex-PC displays. I have seen some 10-inch displays (ex-point-of-sale terminals) but nothing smaller. Even then, the age of the displays may mean you're looking at something with a limited lifespan unless you're prepared to re-cap or re-tube it.
