Once again mackrackit you've helped a lot, thank you. I've got one more question though. Most example codes I've seen are using SERIN and SEROUT, can I use HSERIN and HSEROUT instead?

Yes, the VDIP uses TRUE mode.

Yes I have. That's where I got my examples from and it seems to be a very good article indeed. Well that should be it for now, I think I'll order a VDIP1 soon and see what I can do. Thanks again for all the help.
