Nevermind. Figured it out 5 minutes later. I needed to specify a high speed, high power oscillator and I had to turn off the clock multiplier thingy. In other words:
_CONFIG _CONFIG1H, _FOSC_HSHP_1H & _PLLCFG_OFF_1H
