    Default Bad EEPROM?

Can an external I2C EEPROM fail to be writable and still be readable? I have one which I cannot write to anymore. The code and circuitry haven't been a problem. I made a change to an array variable when I noticed it didn't write new info to the EEPROM. Is this a example of EEPROM failure? Thanks RC.

Maybe check for Write Protect in the datasheet for your particular chip.
