    Default Rfid CHIP selection question

I was finding rfid reader modules which can give tag data to my PIC. I found a few but they are not suitable for battery powered applications as their standby current is in mA. I also find information on this reader: http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/45...le_SB0081.html

Can someone help me if they know of any chip suitable for battery powered application. Thanks

The link is not RFiD. Is about IR sensor.

I think RFiD reader are not availabloe in uA or nA. They need a lot of current to create an electric field that will power the card like a transformer.

Not suitable for battery operated devices.

I suggest to look for other way work it out. Maybe a chip card that will enable the PIC© controller through the switch that most card acceptors have.
