    Default 18f4431 oscillator

    Hello,
Is there a secret to getting an 18F4431 to run on frequency ?
I have tried 10 and 20 mhz resonators, tried using 10 mhz with _OSC_HSPLL_1H
DEFINE OSC 40 and or DEFINE OSC 10 cannot even get serout to send anything discernable just junk, tried hserout, same ! Losing little remaining hair . . .

    Hi,
No secret that I know of, I run my 2431 at 40Mhz with a 10Mhz x-tal - no problems with that. Have you tried with a x-tal instead of the resonator, I'm not 100% sure if the PLL will work with a resonator....

    Hello Henrik,
I pulled my hair for 2 days before posting, sent text out in true and inverted just to see what would work, retried tonight at 1200b and it works with 10 mhz no pll, now to start changing until it stops.
    Thank you for the comment.
