The "Splash Screen" only pops up in the Free beta version.
If you purchase the Upgrade, that screen will go away.

I bought PBP...you mean I have to buy something else that runs WITHIN the program? Should I have stuck with the previous version (non-beta)?
You don't have to buy anything if you already have a Full version of meprog.
meProg is the Gui for the programmer hardware such as the U2-USB or EPIC programmers.
It's not part of PicBasic Pro.
If you use the version that came with your programmer, you won't have to deal with the Splash screen.
You'll just need to point MicroCode Studio to that version.
View > Compile and Program Options > Programmer tab > Edit button
Or:
In MicroCode Studio, there are four compile buttons. If you use Compile Only (F9), it will not try to open meProg everytime you compile.
- Compile Only - F9
- Compile and Program - F10
- ICD compile
- ICD Compile and Program
When you are ready to program, press F11 then OK the splash screen once.

Thanks Darrel. I'll revert to the non-beta version. I really didn't see the difference between beta and the previous version anyway.
Usually when I compile, it's compile and program, for what I'm doing now...just tweeking the output of my program.
The beta version is for testing of new parts, which get added frequently.
If you aren't using any new parts, stick with the released version.
When you do need the new parts, it's only $10 for the upgrade.

When I hit "Compile Program" it compiles and opens up the programmer. Then I have to hit Program, in the programmer software. It used to program automatically, ie by itself. What am I doing wrong?
